Jandowae Prep - 10 State School addresses as core business the mental health and well being of all our members (World 1 - the inner self) measuring this by considering the health of the person's World 4 (the ability to dream a positive future).  We customise the learning needs of World 2 learners (education through the hands),  and World 3 (education through the intellect) learners so that every person in our community of the school can achieve to their potential.  Underpinning all our work are the learning processes, curriculum content and values framework which contribute to the development of motivated, confident learners who have a healthy outlook and resilience to face, manage and cope with their uncertain yet exciting futures.

Given our commitment to World 2 learners, we have sought vehicles to allow us to adapt our pedagogical practices.  We are a part of Education Queensland's Gateway Schools - Agribusiness project and the Nationally funded Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden project.  Both of these projects have allowed us to take learning beyond the four walls of the classroom and truly engage students in real life, meaningful learning experiences.  As a school we are developing our curriulum tso that it maximises opportunities to engage students with agribusiness.

We value the support provided through our extended community and continually seek to enhance partnerships to broaden experiences for students
